Thank You Kindly New Kit

Today, I’m having fun working with the Thank You Kindly Kit! For my first card, I followed the instructions as designed by the kit, and it turned out lovely. But for the rest, I decided to add my own twist!

I incorporated a few extra touches, like Open Weave Gold Trim,  gold twine, adding antique pearls, and gold dots. The result? Beautifully elegant cards that feel extra special.

I’m so pleased with how they turned out—sometimes it’s those little details that make all the difference!

Mixed Media Hexagon Fun Fold Card

Hexagon Fun Fold Card Instructions

Materials Needed:

• Base Card: 4 1/4” x 5 3/8” (score each end at 3/4”).

• Strips: Two pieces of 1 1/4” x 7” cardstock (score at 3/4” and 2 1/2”, then flip and repeat on the other side).

• Designer Series Paper (DSP): 4x4

• One piece white 4” x 4” (for the back sentiment panel).

• Six strips 1” x 1 3/4” (for the 1 1/4” x 7” strips; trim if needed).

• Two pieces 3/4” x 4 1/4” (for the side panels).

• Die cuts from the Mixed Media Floral suite.

• Sentiment stamp and coordinating die.

• Blends for coloring.

• Adhesive.

Steps:

1. Prepare the Base Card:

• Score the base card at 3/4” on each end and fold the score lines. Burnish them well with a bone folder.

2. Prepare the Strips:

• Take the two 1 1/4” x 7” strips and score at 3/4” and 2 1/2”. Flip the strip and repeat the scoring on the other side. Burnish the score lines.

3. Adhere the Designer Series Paper (DSP):

• Glue the 4” x 4” white piece to the back of the card base where your sentiment 

will go.

• Adhere the six 1” x 1 3/4” DSP strips to the corresponding sections on the two 1 1/4” x 7” strips.

• Attach the two 3/4” x 4 1/4” DSP pieces to the side panels of the base card.

Attach the 4 x4 DSP to the inside of the card base.

4. Assemble the Hexagon Fold:

• Glue the two 1 1/4” x 7” strips to the base card to form the hexagon shape. Ensure all folds align properly.

5. Decorate the Card:

• Die-cut an image from the Mixed Media Floral suite, color it is using your Blends, and adhere it to the front panel of the card.

• Stamp your sentiment and cut it out using a coordinating die. Adhere it to the front of the card as well.

6. Final Touches:

• Double-check all layers are secure, and ensure the card folds neatly into the hexagon shape.

One sheet Wonder with Mixed Media Floral Suite

 

One Sheet Wonder with the Mixed Media Floral Suite!

Today, I’m diving into the Online Exclusive Mixed Media Floral Suite to create a stunning One Sheet Wonder project! Using just one sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP), here’s how I brought these cards to life:

✨ Main Design:

• Cut the DSP to 3 3/4” x 5” and layered it onto black cardstock (4” x 5 1/4”), embossed layers using the Plastered Painting 3-D Embossing Folder

• Added coordinating dies, sentiments, and gems from the suite for a polished look.

✨ Using the Leftovers:

• Cut the remaining DSP into 2” x 5 1/4” strips and layered them onto Calypso Coral (4” x 5 1/4”).• embossed layers using the Plastered Painting 3-D Embossing Folder, 

• Added an extra 1 3/4” x 4” strip of black cardstock for contrast. and accents from the suite.

These cards are perfect for any occasion, and the textured layers make them extra special!

Fun Fold Card Directions

Here’s how to create this beautiful fun fold card step by step:

Materials Needed:

• Cardstock: 5 1/2” x 12”, scored at 2”, 4”, 8”, and 10”.

• Designer Series Paper (DSP):

• (4) pieces: 1 3/4” x 5 1/4” (for the front and side panels).

• (1) piece: 3 3/4” x 5 1/4” (for the inside panel).

• Cardstock for Sentiment: 2 1/2” x 4”.

• Ribbon, gems, die cuts, and stamped images for decoration.

Instructions:

1. Prepare Your Base:

• Take your 5 1/2” x 12” cardstock and score it at 2”, 4”, 8”, and 10”.

• Fold along the score lines to create the fun fold base.

2. Layer the Designer Series Paper:

• Adhere the four 1 3/4” x 5 1/4” pieces of DSP to the front and side panels.

• Glue the 3 3/4” x 5 1/4” DSP to the center inside panel.

3. Stamp and Attach Sentiment:

• Stamp your sentiment onto the 2 1/2” x 4” cardstock.

• Adhere it to the inside panel over the DSP.

4. Decorate the Card:

• Cut your die cuts and prepare your stamped images.

• Arrange and adhere these elements to the front panels.

• Add ribbon and gems as desired for a polished finish.
